Rain rain, go away...

You know when it's been raining for two weeks straight and you haven't left the house in days and you kind of feel like exploding? That's me right now. I feel like the sky has been dark and cloudy and there hasn't been a single ray of sunshine in the longest time.

Ok, I'm exaggerating a little bit; Friday was absolutely beautiful, sunny, hot and clear, but it was a tease. Before that? Rain, overcast, cold, more rain. So what do I do when you have a rambunctious 20 month old and I am ready to gauge my eyes out with a spatula?

Well I was going to brave it and go for a walk in the rain, but who are we kidding, that is not happening. Marley and I have had PJ days and watched Elmo's World to our hearts content.

Have you seen her "OMG I LOVE ELMO" face? I couldnt make that picture up if I tried. This is how Marley watches Elmo, the entire time Elmo is on the screen. Could you die?

So once we have had our fill of Elmo (aka Mommy is going to loose her mind on Sesame Street), we start with the house work. It's not child labor if she enjoys it and actually fights me to get a hold of the Dyson, is it? (side note, Elmo is still hanging with us in he background)
My little girl is so helpful, she even gets joy out of unloading the dishwasher. Seriously, NO ONE likes this chore.

On that one rare break where the sun came out and the birds were singing, I decided to bust out the jogging stroller, blow the dust off of it and get outside. Bonus points for me not passing out. 5km here I come.

I have been singing it to her since the day she is born, and it rings true in so many ways: "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey..."
