I am home! My week away in sunny Dominican Republic was amazing and I am home feeling refreshed and more centred. Amazing what a few days away from all the chaos of life can do for your mental state. The weather was perfect, light breeze and sunny every day, so I can hardly complain. I have a wicked tan (and the crazy tan lines that go with it), my face has exploded with freckles (sigh) and I think I even lost a few pounds. Who does that? Must have been all the fresh fruit I was devouring.
My cousins wedding was perfect and I can honestly say it was one of the best receptions I have ever been to. The food was to die for, the DJ was amazing and I was there with an amazing group of people. Yes, I bawled like a baby during the ceremony... but they were tears of pure happiness. Only downfall: my camera died just after the ceremony, so I don't have pictures of the reception yet.
On a side note: a week away from Marley was hard. Really, really, really hard. The first few days were ok because it was a welcome break from the tantrums, sleepless nights and whining, but after a few days and a check in email from my mother in law, it set in. I missed her hard. Do I think I will go away without her ever again? I don't know. I say no right now, but the break and time alone with Jay was so good for us.
Now that we are home, I have had 4 days to finalize packing and organizing for our big move tomorrow, I feel like a crazy person. My house is 10 times worse than the video I posted... now take a few moments to process that. Yah. It sucks and it's giving me anxiety like woah. BUT, I know this is short lived and soon life will be back to normal-ish. I am crazy excited about the new house and I can't wait to show off pictures and go through my home decoration journey with y'all. So I will try to post some stuff asap, but please forgive me if I am away for another few days. Life is moving!
In the mean time, here are a few pictures to hold you over: (PS It was pointed out to me that I have been seriously lacking on posting pics of Marley. I promise to rectify that soon!)
